Buyer consultant of a mountain hiking boots manufacturer I started
today’s day with a follow up with a buyer in Australia but unfortunately the
buyer wasn’t interested to buy the hiking boots at this point of moment, I get
a bit demotivated because the buyer was a designated as Director buying
footwear, and he has the authority to deal all the buying.
I started browsing different
footwear websites, and ended up with some potential companies to pitch. Mean
while I was adding different groups and people related to footwear industry. I
had lined up a follow up list particularly from UK; called a buyer for follow
up he sent the articles numbers to send the quotations for the products. I
contacted a company in UK who deals in fashion industry , I emailed him the
catalog but he replied that they are more inclined towards fashion side in
apparel. Contacted two more companies who were looking for waterproof rubber boots supplier and introduce our product to them
they took interest in our products and asked me to email the product catalogs.
The key to good deals are good
follow up with buyers and your emails should be formally designed so that they
look credible to the reader , write a concise email defining everything because no one has time to read a
lengthy email.
